Stodgy was the overall impression as we longed for a crunch or a hint of lime or chilli. The set menu had a production line feel and the interior is strangely cold and uncosy. Waited ages for our drinks. Maybe it’s better on a hot day. Maybe the kitchen was having a bad Saturday. For us, the overall experience was definitely not worth the high end prices.
What an amazing experience!
So, how did they end up with 8.9 stars? We do not know. Here follows an honest review from some local foodies:
The Good: The margaritas were the best we ever had. Realy good stuff. You have to try it. One of the 6 dishes was very good, and the Tamale was spicy, visually attractive, and different. We loved it.

The Bad: The Mole was a fail. Really, we only tasted flour. The sauces did not stand up to the tortilla. The Abodo was bland, and we did not eat it. All in all, we did not like 5 of the 6 dishes. A lot of the elements were repeated in the different dishes. Maybe they tried to save some money with restaurant week?
Absolutely worth every cent . we received double value by booking via restaurant week and we will be back again. It was our 2nd return to Hacienda . A great experience definitely worth experiencing
Great experience. Highly recommended.
